Ignite Nexus emerged as a result of the collaborative efforts of Julia Greenspan MBA and Thomas Sage Pedersen, who, as friends, shared a common vision of promoting compassion, courage, mindfulness, diversity, and inclusion in communities, leadership, and organizations.

Over the years of their friendship, Julia and Thomas  sought each other's consultation on the challenges they faced in their respective professions. Julia, with her extensive involvement in the corporate world, dealt with issues surrounding leadership, corporate organization, and a lack of courage among executives. Meanwhile, Thomas, more entrenched in the nonprofit and grassroots activism scene, grappled with a range of concerns related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), mental health in community organizing, community engagement, and the pursuit of cultural change in the current sociopolitical landscape.

Driven by her personal aspirations, Julia took the initiative to enhance her consulting and executive coaching capacity by obtaining certification as an executive coach and completing her MBA. Simultaneously, Thomas engaged in freelance consulting work in connection with his podcast, Speak For Change, and his business, Everyone's Music School. Additionally, he has served and still serves on numerous boards for various organizations.

Thus, on July 4, 2023, Ignite Nexus was established with a clear purpose: to empower individuals, leaders, and organizations by fostering community engagement, embracing diversity, unlocking opportunities, creating transformative spaces, and cultivating innovative world perspectives.

Together, Julia and Thomas adopt a comprehensive approach to address every obstacle, employing integrated strategies to amplify community impact, develop ethical leadership, foster innovation, and extend their support to their community in every possible way.
